Jaqueline A Villamil

Jacqueline Villamil leads business development and marketing strategy for Strategic Solution Partners. Villamil brings almost two decades of experience in sales, marketing and the revenue management of mid-scale, upscale, luxury and lifestyle-concept hotels. She’s spent recent years as an independent consultant, assessing and offering solutions to improve the performance of hotels through report analysis, staffing, systems and process evaluation. Prior to consulting, Villamil was the vice president of sales for HEI Hotels & Resorts/Merritt Hospitality and served as a director of sales and/or marketing for properties within Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels Corporation and Meristar Hotels & Resorts, among others.

Her depth of experience leading teams, managing projects and implementing strategic sales and marketing solutions at top-tier properties throughout the United States and Latin America gives Strategic Solution Partners an undeniable advantage. She knows how to create a team and inspire its members to work for a common goal, which is essential in taskforce or short-term missions. Villamil’s knowledge of different markets and her experience working with varying types of properties, from her role as DOS over the team that sold both the Westin Century Plaza and the St. Regis in Los Angeles to serving as DOSM at the Westin Resort & Spa Los Cabos, give her a unique perspective on what it takes to get things done efficiently, creatively and expediently, no matter the property’s culture or location.

Raised in Argentina, Villamil attended university in the United States. When she’s not collaborating with clients on property, she lives in Cancun, Mexico

Janet Poole Karchner

Janet Poole Karchner is the architect of Strategic Solution Partners’ telesales division. Two decades of on-property, regional and independent consulting in sales and catering lend Karchner unsurpassed expertise in the business of hotel food and beverage. From crafting standard operating procedures and conducting catering sales trainings to leading catering staffs of all sizes and implementing customized marketing strategies, Karchner has honed her sales and catering dexterity as an independent consultant with JPK Catering Solutions and in regional and on-property director-of-catering positions with companies including Denihan Hospitality Management, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels Corporation. Prior to her consultancy, she was vice president of catering sales for HEI Hotels & Resorts.

Karchner’s deft knowledge of Delphi gives Strategic Solution Partners an edge in pulling reports and obtaining the kind of information that’s key for strategizing, as well as navigating the most intricate aspects of the industry. At the same time, as a skilled and affable trainer, Karchner is able to translate her experience into personalized practical tools and processes that take CS and sales & catering teams to the next level.

Karchner received a hotel-and-restaurant degree from the Whittemore School of Business & Economics at the University of New Hampshire. She now lives in Westport, Massachusetts
